GTA 4 for the PC will be in the shops from the 21st November, and it seems that the system requirements for this game have finally been announced. As ever, the PC needs a strong-performing graphics card to be able to give the best resolution. Grand Theft Auto 4 needs at least a middle-class PC to be able to run well. The only big surprise is perhaps the 18GB memory which Niko Bellic needs to be able to cruise happily through Liberty City.
Here is an overview of the hardware requirements for GTA 4:
Software: Windows XP SP2
CPU: Dual Core Processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
Graphics Card: 512MB Direct3D compatible graphics care or Direct3D with Shader
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB available memory
Drive: DVD-ROM (Dual Layer Drive).
GTA 4’s developer has not yet confirmed these hardware requirements. Data did appear on the Games for Windows homepage, but then disappeared after a few minutes, to be replaced with “coming soon”.
